TATA MOTORS AT BUSWORLD INDIA Over 115 exhibitors participated in the three day Busworld India 2018 exhibition, including Tata Motors, Force Motors, MG Automotive, Olectra Greentech & BYD, MRF, Bridgestone, JTAC, Valeo Motherson, Subros Ltd. among many others on a surface of 7,000 sqm. The show witnessed a footfall of over 8,000 business visitors.

Tata Motors showcased a total of five new public transport vehicles. Equiped with the latest technology and safety features, the new range of transport solutions on display were: the Starbus Ultra AC 22-Seater Push back, the Starbus 12-Seater AC Maxi cab, the Winger 12-Seater, the Tata 1515 MCV staff bus and the Magna intercity coach.
The Winger is available in two lengths, 4,920 mm and 5,458 mm. there configurations: 9+1, 13+1 and 15+ seats. It has a 2.2 L Dicor BS4 engine with74 kW (4.000 rpm) with 190 Nm (1250-3500 rpm). BS4 is the Indian equivalent to Euro 4.
The 12 metre Magna intercity coach has a Cummins ISBe 5.9 L diesel engine, compliant to BS4, with 134 Kw with 700 Nm torque at 1,200-1,600 rpm. The GVW is 16,200 kg.
For the Starbus series Tata uses its own engine the Tata 497 TCIC, also BS4. The Starbus series consists of three variants, the Ex24, Ex32 and Ex36. He Ex24 is 6,920 mm long, the Ex32 8,200 mm and the Ex36 9,350 mm. The Ex24 has an 75 Kw engine and the other two 92 kW. The gearbos is a 6 speed with overdrive GBS-550. The there is also the Starbus Ultra which comes in two lengths, 8,520 mm and 10,120 mm and with a 10.2 L BS4 diesel engine. The 10,120 mm long coach can carry up to 46 seats.
Tata Motors has a long standing relationship with Brazilian bodybuilder Marco Polo. Also the latest 407 Maxicab has a Marco Polo body. This 5.4 metre bus looks like a real bus and can still carry up to 12+1 seats.
The next edition of Busworld India takes place in August 2020 in Bengaluru.
