370 IVECO BUS CROSSWAY buses for Dakar, Senegal

IVECO BUS is awarded an order for the delivery of 293 CROSSWAY Low Entry and 77 CROSSWAY buses to the DAKAR DEM DIKK public transport operator for the modernization of public transport services in the Dakar metropolitan area and its suburbs. The deliveries of the first vehicles have begun and will continue until February 2024.

On 15 May 2023, IVECO BUS and DAKAR DEM DIKK signed a contract for this contract including a set of support services. The first batches of the CROSSWAY buses have already arrived in Dakar and the remaining units will be delivered by February 2024. They are suited to DAKAR DEM DIKK's vision to provide a modern and efficient public transport service. The CROSSWAY and CROSSWAY LE selected by DAKAR DEM DIKK are equipped with the 310-hp IVECO Cursor 8 Euro 3 engine. The CROSSWAY models offer 55 seats while the Low Entry version can accommodate 34 seated and 72 standing passengers. They have cataphoresis protection, 3-part front bumpers, UFR ramps, and air-suspended driver seats. In addition to the supply of vehicles, several support and knowledge transfer measures have been included in this contract, such as the supply of a batch of spare parts

and tools and the provision of documentation. The manufacturer will also provide technical training as well as assistance and technical support to the vehicles.
