Anadolu Isuzu to deliver 70 Citiport 18 buses to the United Arab Emirates

Anadolu Isuzu has signed an export agreement with the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) of the United Arab Emirates. Anadolu Isuzu is to deliver 70 Citiport 18 Class 2 buses to be used in the Dubai public transportation system. The order has a value of $37.8 million. Delivery of the vehicles is scheduled for 2026. It is the highest-priced export tender and the highest number of 18-meter Citiport bus sales that Anadolu Isuzu has ever won.

The Citiport 18, the largest member of the Citiport family, is according to Anadolu Isuzu the 'ideal solution for bus companies that provide transportation services on busy lines'. The length is 18m, the Citiport 18 has a Cummins 8.9 litre diesel engine with 269kW (365HP) at 2100rpm. The maximum Torque is 1584 Nm/1300 rpm. The buses will have an automatic gearbox and are equipped with al the modern technologies. Anadolu Isuzu began operations in 1965 under the name Celik Montaj, initially focusing on the production of small trucks and motorcycles. The company entered a licensing agreement with Japan’s Isuzu Motors Ltd. in 1983, which paved the way for the production of Isuzu vehicles at its Kartal factory in Istanbul the following year. Currently operating from a facility in Kocaeli with 118,000 square meters of enclosed space, Anadolu Isuzu manufactures up to 19,000 commercial vehicles annually.
