Vincent Dewaele, General Manager of Busworld International, strongly believes in the role of Busworld Plaza.

Busworld Plaza is the follow-up to Busworld Europe.

Vincent Dewaele: “5,000 clicks per week”

“Busworld Plaza is a beautiful continuation of the live trade show that Busworld Europe represents,” says Vincent Dewaele, general manager of Busworld International. “On the Busworld Plaza platform, we have already gathered around 400 companies presenting more than 2,000 products. We are now recording some 5,000 clicks per week, which clearly shows that the concept meets a real demand from the bus and coach industry.”

Busworld Plaza complements the live Busworld exhibitions, including Busworld Europe, as it connects suppliers and bus manufacturers—even at times when no physical shows are being held. The “Suppliers Night” on Wednesday evening was therefore the perfect opportunity to explain the platform’s purpose and concept to the attending exhibitors.
“Busworld Plaza aims to grow gradually and organically in such a way that both suppliers and bus manufacturers perceive the digital platform as an added value for the entire Busworld community and environment," states Vincent Dewaele.

The Busworld journey continues

We want to effectively demonstrate that Busworld Plaza really does enable people to connect with each other. The database includes specific contact persons and key decision-makers for purchasing and sales. The platform already features around 400 companies—from the smallest supplier to the world’s largest bus builder. Everyone in the industry benefits from Busworld Plaza. The Busworld journey, after all, continues after this Busworld Europe edition,” Dewaele clarifies. “With around 5,000 clicks per week, we are seeing constant and ongoing activity on the platform, which is really starting to come alive.”

“We strongly believe in Busworld Plaza without overestimating the role of the digital channel and underestimating that of live trade fairs. Thanks to a search program with diversified filters, users can easily find both products and contact persons. Busworld Plaza currently has one full-time employee, but I expect the team will continue to expand. After all, keeping the contact list of all companies up to date will be a challenge. We simply cannot afford to have someone receive two or three error messages in a row because they have changed roles within the company or left the company.”
