Dutch bus manufacturer Ebusco saw its first articulated 18 metre bus roll out of the Golden Dragon factory in China. The new bus will be delivered to a customer in Europe. Ebusco and Golden Dragon have a long standing collaboration since the first Ebusco's were build on a Golden Dragon chassis. With this move Ebusco is taking another step in resolving the financial crisis the company is in.
The Ebusco 3.0 is a low weight electric bus with a carbon fibre body and was introduced in 2019. Three years later, the articulated 18 metre model was introduced in the Ebusco factory in the Netherlands. Due to the financial crisis the company is in Ebusco has moved bus production to Golden Dragon in China. Now the first electric bus from Ebusco has rolled out of the production line in China. Ebusco in the Netherlands is focusing on the design and development of the
buses. Golden Dragon's factory is situated in Longhai, between the two Chinese cities of Xiamen and Zhangzhou in Fujian province. The collaboration between Golden Dragon and Ebusco has developed ever since the company started and used for the first series Golden Dragon platforms. Ebusco also has a strategic collaboration with the Chinese battery manufacturer Gotion which is one of the main shareholders of Ebusco.
