First European order for Quantron CIZARIS in Italy

Quantron AG made a successful bid in a recent e-bus tender in Italy. From October 2023, 6 Quantron CIZARIS 12 EV will be operational in Turin tasked to support the city's public transport system. It are the first Quantron’s electric buses to go into operation in Europe. They will be put into service on a newly opened bus route that will start operating in October this year and when in use they will save around 409.2 tons of CO2 per year. The buses have an operational range of up to 370km per vehicle.

The buses are ordered by Miccolis, a public limited company based in Bari, active in local public transport network, school transport as well as the commercial sector. The company currently operates around 500 buses in different areas of Italy. For Miccolis, Quantron’s emission-free vehicles are an important step on the way to achieving a more sustainable and climate-neutral fleet. The Quantron CIZARIS 12 EV electric buses are equipped with powerful 363 kWh batteries that facilitate

a reliable range of up to 370 km and offer space for up to 89 passengers. "We are extremely proud to have won the e-bus tender in Italy," said Alexander Stucke, Head of Sales Bus at Quantron AG. Another success for the newly Italian branch of Quantron is the delivery of 4 electric minibuses to the municipalities on the island of Elba.
