BOP G5 / Hypervision

High-performance video surveillance for greater safety on board

Aggression in public transport, where drivers and passengers are attacked, is unfortunately becoming increasingly common. With the BOP G5/Hypervision, French company Actia is launching a high-performance and intelligent video surveillance system.

With more than 20 years of experience in on-board video surveillance, Actia is presenting a compact and robust system that both meets the needs of public transport and can be integrated into a wider security network. The BOP G5/Hypervision is a modular and cost-effective system tailored to today’s public transport. Advanced video functionalities enable rapid and targeted processing of recordings and give operators direct access to relevant footage before, during and after an incident.

In critical situations, the driver can activate a live video stream, allowing the incident to be monitored from the control room. Linked to other applications, a suspect can be tracked in real time or retrospectively when boarding and alighting from the bus. Optionally, the system can use the vehicle’s CAN bus signals to complement video recordings with prior critical events such as an emergency stop or proximity warnings, without requiring additional on-board infrastructure.

Actia also offers a platform capable of merging all video streams from the vehicle fleet. In this way, a potential suspect can be traced, even if that person changes vehicles.
