Shaula is the winner of the third International Minibus Euro Test organized by the international Bus and Coach of the Year jury. Shaula is build by Car-bus.net, the Spanish bodybuilder situated in Barcelona and is awarded with the prestigious title 'International Minibus of the Year 2023'.
The Minibus Euro Test and the award Minibus of the Year 2023 are initiated by the International Bus and Coach of the Year jury, which since 1989 organizes the International Bus Euro Test and International Coach Euro Test. The Minibus Euro Test was held during three days in Madrid. After having done test drives in and around Madrid, where members of the jury tested all three minibuses in different conditions, voting followed and on Tuesday, the opening day of the FIAA Madrid bus fair, the winner was announced. This time, Car-bus.net Shaula received the most votes and is the 'International Minibus of the year 2023'. The winner convinced the jury with its comfort, practical solutions, safety, spacious passenger compartment, high-quality construction and good driving characteristics. Shaula is a shining star, like all product of Car-bus.net are named after shining stars.
Three candidates competed for the award for the best in the Minibus Euro Test: the Romanian Aveuro based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter panelvan, the Turkish Anadolu Isuzu with the Grand Toro and the winner Shaula by Car-bus.net. The Shaula is build on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis (5.5 ton). The body is entirely developed by Car-bus.net and the chassis is redesigned and equipped with a rear axle with air suspension from German manufacturer Müller to handle the GVW of 6.8 tons.
The International Minibus Euro Test is held every two years in collaboration with IFEMA. The organization is done by the magazine Autobuses & Autocares and its editor-in-chief Miguel Sáez, the Spanish member of the jury. Every two years the Minibus Euro Test is organized, alternately tourist minibuses and public transport minibuses. This years test was sponsored by JMB, Otokar and VDL.
