The Urban Community of the French city of Dunkirk will receive 10 Heuliez GX 337 H2 units, while Grand Annecy Agglomeration (France) has chosen to acquire 3 of those hydrogen buses. These new vehicles, with deliveries staggered until 2026, will strengthen the existing fleets of electric buses from the brand on both networks, taking a new step by adopting hydrogen technology. The orders of new H2 city buses are placed through UGAP, the public purchasing centre in France.
Combining a 100 kW Hyundai fuel cell with a 69 kWh FPT Industrial battery pack, IVECO BUS states that this hydrogen solution is efficient in terms of reducing hydrogen consumption with 15 to 20% lower than usual levels, optimizing thermal comfort, while ensuring a long lifespan of the key components (battery and fuel cell). The 12-meter hydrogen buses have a passenger capacity of up to 110 passengers. Giorgio Zino, Head of IVECO BUS Europe Commercial Operations, stated: "We are extremely proud that the Urban Community of Dunkirk and Grand Annecy Agglomeration have renewed their trust by adopting our hydrogen buses."
