In partnership with Asaka Motors International LLC, IVECO BUS starts a CKD production facility of the DAILY minibus in Uzbekistan. Also ASAKA EFVI TRUCK AND BUS JV LLC is the new nationwide distributor in Uzbekistan for the IVECO BUS portfolio. Production at the new CDK plant is scheduled to begin in May 2026. The partners aim to sell 500 units in the first year, progressively increasing production and sales to 1,000 units annually within three years.
The initial production program will focus on the DAILY minibus range, including both diesel and electric versions. The project will support job creation, technical training, and skills transfer within Uzbekistan’s automotive sector, fostering the country’s industrial and technological development as IVECO BUS states. Local assembly will also ensure a competitive total cost of ownership, strong after-sales support, and optimized delivery times for customers. In addition to diesel versions, IVECO BUS will introduce electric variants of the DAILY minibus as part of a progressive electrification roadmap.
Over time, the manufacturer also plans to explore introducing its zero-emission bus range, aligned with Uzbekistan’s environmental objectives, supported by pilot projects and strategic partnerships in major urban areas.
