IVECO BUS won one out of the two lots of the tender from the public transport operator Urban Transports (TUSSAM) in the Spanish city of Seville. IVECO Bus is chosen to supply 5 E-WAY 12 metre electric buses. The E-WAY's will contribute to make the fleet of Seville's urban transports more sustainable. It is the first order for the E-WAY in Spain.
The E-WAY chosen by TUSSAM will feature a synchronous electric traction motor with a nominal power of 160 kW and NMC Lithium-Ion ZEN batteries with up to 460 kWh capacity, integrated both in the roof and in the rear of the vehicle. The recharging process through the CCS2 Combo socket admits 100 kW of power for a complete charge in less than four hours. The buses are equipped with two access ramps and two spaces dedicated for passengers with a baby stroller or in a wheelchair. The flat low floor along the entire length of the vehicle optimizes the flow of passengers. The second Record Run was conducted in real operating conditions on the initiative of our customer, the German company Verkerhrsbetriebe Bachstein. using a 12-m overnight charging E-WAY with a 350-kWh battery pack . The result, certified by TÜV Nord, was as excellent as the first run: 543 kilometres on a single charge, leaving a 3% residual load at the end of the test.
