Turkish manufacturer Karsan has won another tender in Bari, Italy, for the delivery of 42 electric buses, scheduled for June 2026. The new 42 18-meter Karsan buses vehicles will be the first to be used in the municipality's new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.
The 18-meter Karsan e-ATA buses offer a range of over 450 kilometers in real driving conditions and charging at high speed simultaneously with two independent charging inputs, each with 300 kW of power. Karsan maintains a strong presence in Italy with its vehicles actively serving in over 40 cities. Karsan CEO Okan Baş said: "As of today, over 340 of our electric vehicles are serving public transportation in Italy. As Karsan, we are determined to continue our steady growth by strengthening our presence in Italy." Karsan will deliver the 42 e-ATA 18-meter articulated buses through its Italian dealer KMobility.
