With the new RD1 dual ramp Masats offers a ramp module which combines an electric ramp with a manual ramp. The manufacturer states that this new hybrid ramp ensures uninterrupted access to vehicles. In the event of a power failure the vehicle can continue to run with the manual ramp. The ramp allows access up to 350kg and is easy to install.
The new RD1 ramp incorporates maximum safety systems, such as weight sensors and obstacle detection, which stops the operation of the electrical module in case of any risk. It has the possibility of integrating the Masats PIS-L system, which improves accessibility for the visually impaired by means of side lighting.
The system combines the status of door and ramp and warns when it is safe to enter the vehicle. This system is designed to improve access for the visually impaired, giving passengers confidence. The flush design of the RD1 allows unobstructed access to the vehicle floor.
