MZA Warsaw orders an additional 79 Solaris electric buses

The public transport operator in Warsaw, MZA (Miejskie Zakłady Autobusowe) has ordered a further 79 electric buses: 50 articulated Urbino 18 electric and 12-metre Urbino 12 electric buses form Solaris Bus & Coach. This order is an extension of the contract signed in September 2025 with Solaris, in which the operator ordered an identical batch of 79 vehicles.

The newly ordered buses will be prepared based on a specification twin to that of the vehicles ordered a few months earlier. These will be buses without the traditional engine tower, based on a modular drive system architecture. The e-buses will be powered by batteries with a capacity of over 500 kWh in the 12-metre models and over 700 kWh in the 18-metre models. Charging will be carried out using a plug-in connection. Deliveries are scheduled for the first half of 2027. Solaris has delivered 163 e-buses to the Polish capital, and is currently fulfilling several orders for MZA covering a total of 208 zero-emission Urbino electric buses.
