As part of the Norwegian Finnmark 2023 tender, Iveco Bus has delivered 13 Crossway to the operator Connect Bus Norge AS, which has confirmed an additional order for 2 more units to be delivered in 2024. The Crossway units will be running in Alta, the fourteenth northernmost city in the world (latitude 69 degrees 58 minutes north), 400 km inside the Arctic Circle.
The delivery of the vehicles was supported by the local dealer Team Verksted, which offers a wide range of services and support in the northern territory of Alta. With a sense for dramatics Iveco Bus announces with this delivery it has conquered new frontiers as in Norway there are already 1,000 Crossway buses operating on Norwegian roads but until now not this high up. states that “this intercity best-seller is perfectly adapted to Nordic climate conditions”. The 13-metre Crossway Low Entry chosen by Connect Bus Norge AS are equipped with a 320 hp, HVO compliant engine. They can accommodate up to 47 seated passengers and 26 standing, in addition to the driver. They will provide regular traffic missions and school services.
