Karsan, has signed a new agreement in Romania. Under the agreement, worth approximately €17 million, Karsan will deliver 30 10 meter e-ATA vehicles to Timişoara and will also strengthen the city's electric transportation infrastructure by installing 30 slow and 15 fast pantograph charging stations.
The Karsan e-ATA 10 m, which will be supplied to the municipality of Timişoara has a 400 kWh battery and high-torque hub motor technology. The e-ATA is fully low-floor. Karsan CEO Okan Baş, who stated that they aim to deliver the new vehicles in 2026, said: "Timişoara began its electric transformation journey with Karsan; now it has chosen Karsan again for this transformation journey. Today, more than 450 electric Karsan vehicles serving throughout Romania demonstrate the scale of this success. Currently, 44 of our 18-meter e-ATA vehicles are in service in Timişoara."
