Otokar experiences strong growth in Europe

At its stand in Hall 5, booth 505b, Otokar showcases the e-CENTRO, NAVIGO U Giga, ULYSO, e-KENT, and e-TERRITO models. In addition, the Turkish manufacturer highlights its technological capabilities with the autonomous versions of the e-CENTRO and e-TERRITO displayed outside the halls — models that help push Otokar’s strong growth in Europe.

The e-TERRITO model is presented with different battery options, while the 10.9-meter-long e-Kent bus is making its debut. During the show, visitors can test drive Otokar’s autonomous e-CENTRO vehicle outside the exhibition halls.

Kerem Erman, head of the commercial vehicles division, stated that the company is strengthening its position in Europe and shared information about its three main goals in the bus segment :“Otokar is making great progress toward achieving its three objectives: becoming one of the most modern and integrated bus production facilities in Europe; further strengthening sustainable growth in the European market; and modernizing the product range with a focus on electrification.”

“As Turkey’s largest bus manufacturer, we have 60 years of experience in bus production. Our expertise, production capacity, and manufacturing technology have placed us among the top five bus manufacturers in Europe. In addition to the Otokar brand, our Sakarya factory also produces buses for two other global brands. Our current position is proof of our quality and production capabilities. We are ready to enter new partnerships thanks to our advanced technology, production capacity, and skilled workforce.”

Growth
Umberto Mauri, co-director of Otokar Italia, emphasized Otokar’s success in Europe:

“Today, more than 66,500 Otokar buses are on the road worldwide. We have recently achieved significant market gains in Europe. In line with our strategy, we continue to grow. Our three largest markets in Europe are Italy, Spain, and France. It is also worth noting that we have a very strong presence in the Belgian market. We are intensifying our efforts to strengthen our presence in Germany and the Scandinavian countries. In parallel with our rapid growth in Europe, we have also reorganized our after-sales service structure.”
