Otokar is chosen by LibertyBus to deliver its VECTIO C to the Island of Jersey. LibertyBus, operated by Tower Transit, part of the Kelsian Group, has selected Otokar's low-entry bus VECTIO C to replace older Euro III vehicles serving Jersey's transport network.
The 9.6-metre long, 2.35-metre wide medium-size 22 buses to be delivered will be used in public transport services as part of LibertyBus's transition to a cleaner and more environmentally friendly fleet. For the Jersey network, the vehicles have been further customised to provide increased seating capacity and enhanced on-board comfort, supporting LibertyBus’s commitment to improving the passenger experience. According to Otokar
this delivery represents an important step in its ongoing expansion in European market. The VECTIO C features a double inward-swinging front door and integrated wheelchair ramp, and is equipped with independent front suspension, a Euro 6 engine and automatic transmission with integrated retarder. The bus complies with the latest GSR II safety standards.
