Romanian city orders 22 electric Solaris buses

The public transport operator in the Romanian city Sfântu Gheorghe is investing in the expansion of its zero-emission bus fleet and has chosen for electric buses from Solaris. The contract involves the delivery of 22 electric buses in the second half of 2027.

The Romanian operator will receive vehicles in three different lengths: 12 Solaris Urbino 9 LE electric buses, 8 Solaris Urbino 12 electric buses, and 2 articulated Solaris Urbino 18 electric buses. Each ordered Solaris vehicle will be equipped with Solaris High Energy batteries. In all vehicles, the batteries will be charged using plug-in chargers. Solaris has already delivered more than 850 buses and trolleybuses to the Romanian market, including over 600 fully zero-emission vehicles.
