Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr GmbH & Co. KG in the German city of Hofolding received 18 Setra S 415 LE intercity buses, Regiobus Mittelsachsen GmbH in Mittweida has got 10 of the S 415 LE and Albert Rapp Autoverkehr in Königsfeld has chosen for 7 units of this model. All new buses are purchased for service in new public transport products.
Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr is putting the 18 new Setra buses into service in the greater Munich area. 16 of these S 415 LE Business vehicles will be used on the routes of the new ExpressBus Ring of the Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (MVV) to provide connections to S-Bahn and regional trains. The additional two S 415 LE Business buses will be deployed on new routes in the Dachau district. Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr, founded in 1962, currently employs around 800 staff and has over 575 vehicles in its fleet – from minibuses with disabled access to luxury double-decker touring coaches for its own touring coach business. The public transit buses will be used in the districts of Munich, Starnberg, Bad-Tölz/Wolfratshausen, Fürstenfeldbruck, and Dachau for scheduled-service, school, and commuting services.
In the city Mittweida, Regiobus Mittelsachsen GmbH is modernizing with 10 Setra MultiClass buses. The S 415 LE Business low-entry vehicles, each with 45 seats, will be used on routes throughout the central part of the 'bundesland' Saxony. The new low-floor buses are equipped with high-performance particulate filters that were developed by Daimler Buses and will filter out up to 99 percent of the particulate material in the interior using an antiviral functional layer. In addition, the buses have fully glazed driver protection doors from Daimler Buses on board. Regiobus Mittelsachsen operates over 235 buses on regional routes. More than 460 employees work at its five depots. Regiobus Mittelsachsen GmbH, founded in 2012 as part of a district reform with the merger of three local transportation companies, carries more than 13 million passengers annually.
The bus company Albert Rapp Autoverkehr has expanded its fleet with 7 Setra MultiClass low-entry intercity buses. The 5 two-axle S 415 LE Business and the 2 three-axle S 418 LE Business vehicles will be used in the district of Schwarzwald-Baar (Baden-Württemberg) on the route from Villingen to Triberg. The vehicles, each with 45 or 57 seats, have wheelchair ramps and free WiFi on board. In addition, the vehicles are equipped with high-performance particulate filters that were developed by Daimler Buses for protection against coronavirus infections and will filter out up to 99 percent of particulate material in the interior using an antiviral functional layer. With these 7 new vehicles, the family-run business from Königsfeld in the Black Forest will have 21 Setra buses in its fleet.
