Nearly ten years after its first major update, Turkish manufacturer Temsa is unveiling the completely renewed Prestij, a model characterised by modern design, efficiency, and advanced safety features.
Since its debut in 1992, Temsa has sold almost 20,000 units of the Prestij worldwide, in more than 20 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In 2016, this popular midibus underwent its first major renewal. Over the years, the Prestij has gained recognition as a midi-coach, airport shuttle, and school bus.
The new Prestij, now on display at Busworld Europe, has received a sophisticated facelift at both the front and rear, with modern colour options such as deep blue and smoke grey trims, along with a full LED lighting system.
In addition, all new, advanced safety systems were fitted, including an emergency braking system, a blind spot indicator, a pedestrian or cyclist detection system, intelligent speed assistance, reversing detection, emergency braking signal, an optional alcohol lock and a warning for drowsiness and inattention of the driver.
Inside the cockpit, the driver can operate a digitally improved dashboard with support for 29 languages. The new 7.26-meter-long Prestij can accommodate 29 passengers and a 3 m³ luggage compartment. It is powered by an efficient 3-liter engine and can optionally be fitted with a 6+1 AMT transmission.
For Temsa, the Prestij remains the flagship model of its more than three-decade-long presence and pioneering role in the midibus segment.
