The midibus Tourer HD by the Greek company Ermisbus, was born in 2020 and was exhibited at Busworld Turkey the same year. It was also the year the Covid pandemic broke out. So the Tourer HD never came to Western-Europe. Until now that is, because Ermisbus will be showing the Tourer HD at Busworld Europe in October in Brussels.
Ermisbus has entered the Midibus sector, as OEM, with her new venture Tourer HD, due to which the company has been accredited by Daimler A.G. as “Mercedes Benz Special Trucks Bus Partner”. Tourer HD is a luxury Midi Bus following all the modern standards. It is based on the Mercedes Benz Atego chassis, but modified by Daimler AG to be suitable for being converted into a bus in compliance with the Mercedes Benz Body Mounting Directives! Also the Tourer HD has obtained the “Letter of Non Objection (LONO)” by Daimler AG, after successful completion of all required tests and it complies with all current EU homologation Directives as Ermisbus
emphasizes. It is also accompanied by COC (Certificate of Conformity) and Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) and is according to the Greek manufacturer covered for guarantees by All Official Authorized MB Service points around Europe. Tourer HD is available with two Mercedes Benz engines: 4 cylinder, 6-litre with 231PS and the 8-litre 6 cylinder with 240PS. Both are EURO VIe. As an option the Tourer HD can be equipped with an automated 8 gear gearbox, the Mercedes Benz PowerShift 3. Amongst others Lane Assist, Active Brake Assist and Outdoor light and rain sensor equipment are standard.
The bus can optionally be equipped with alloy 19.5 inches wheels and Xenon lights with Mercedes Benz original self-washing system. Panorama tinted side glasses give the passengers more comfort. They sit in a luxury Interior on 35 or 37 Bucket-Softline seats, equipped with sliding mechanism to the corridor. USB ports are standard. The driver has a rear view camera which projects the images on a 12.7 inches monitor, placed on the dashboard. The Tourer HD is 9m long but offers space for 35 to 37+1+1 passengers and a storage capacity of 7,5 m3. The gross weight is 12 tons.
