Solaris Bus & Coach has won a tender to supply 19 hydrogen buses to the operator SWK Mobil Krefeld in Germany. The order includes two models: Urbino 12 hydrogen and articulated Urbino 18 hydrogen buses. From the Swedish operator VR Sverige, Solaris received a major order for 101 electric buses, consisting of four models: 5× Urbino 9 LE electric, 47× Urbino 12 electric with modular drive, 22× Urbino 15 LE electric and 27× Urbino 18 electric with modular drive.
The hydrogen-powered vehicles will expand SWK Mobil Krefeld's zero-emission fleet as early as 2027 with 9 Urbino 12 hydrogen buses and 10 articulated Urbino 18 hydrogen buses. The 12-metre vehicles will be equipped with a central motor with an output of 160 kW, while the articulated buses will feature a 240 kW motor. The vehicles will be fitted with, among other features, camera systems replacing traditional mirrors, as well as systems enhancing driver safety and passenger comfort. SWK Mobil Krefeld has already 10 Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen buses in service, which were delivered in 2025 and
joined the city’s zero-emission fleet. In a short period of time a second Swedish operator has ordered a large number of Solaris buses. Earlier Scandinavian Nobina ordered 103 electric buses, now operator VR Sverige has placed an order for 101 electric buses for operation in the Swedish capital Stockholm. The order consists of four models: 5× Urbino 9 LE electric, 47× Urbino 12 electric with modular drive, 22× Urbino 15 LE electric and 27× Urbino 18 electric with modular drive. Solaris is currently carrying out another large order for this operator, for 81 Urbino 15 LE electric buses, awarded in 2025.

Each vehicle will be equipped with Solaris High Energy battery packs with capacity tailored to the model and route characteristics. The buses will be air‑conditioned, equipped with a passenger information system and various assistance solutions that increase safety and driver comfort.
